Description

A Guide to Death & Dying Day Course
with guest teacher, Gen Kelsang Chonden

Saturday 7th April 10am – 4.30pm | £30 including a light vegetarian lunch. Included in KMC London Standard Membership

This thought-provoking course will explore the Buddhist explanation of the death process, how we can prepare for our death and how we can help those who are dying.

Although we may not be happy to hear about our death, the truth of the matter is that we will not remain in this world forever and most of the things we put our energy into are by nature to be left behind. Buddha’s teachings on death help us re-focus our priorities and face our own mortality with confidence and wisdom. We can also use this understanding to prepare for our own future and help our loved ones at the time they need us most.

Gen Kelsang Chonden is a Buddhist monk, ordained by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1993 and has been studying and teaching under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for close to 30 years. He is currently Resident Teacher at Bodhisattva Kadampa Meditation Centre, Brighton & Hove.

Gen Chonden is a very experienced and inspiring teacher: his teachings comprise a great wealth of clarity, insight and wisdom and are powered by his very visible and infectious enthusiasm for Buddhadharma. He enjoys sharing this love of Dharma with all, helping people to find new and beneficial ways of seeing themselves, their world, and their problems.
