Event description

Description

Planning can often be a complex and emotive subject, and one that can have significant social, economic and environmental impacts on the places we live.

Join us for this interesting seminar all about the planning process, at Impact Hub Inverness. The session will be led by Maggie from Aurora Planning who is a Chartered Town Planner with over 20 years of experience in planning. Find out how communities can have their voices heard in the planning process, and the tools needed to actively participate in this. And this can relate to how community groups bring forward development proposals themselves, or respond to development proposals brought forward by others. Whichever perspective you’re coming from, we will cover all stages in the planning process, including how to maximise the value of development for the community, and how planning sits within the bigger picture of things to consider when undertaking a development project. For example, finding out who owns land, practical questions such as access and services, and other consents that may be required to make a proposed development a reality.

And of course there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. Lunch is free so please let us know if you have any dietery requirments.
