Event description

Description

DG Legal is pleased to offer a half-day course on the LAA’s approach to auditing providers, which will provide an invaluable insight into the way the LAA handles contract management and auditing activities. This course is designed for Crime providers. Separate courses are being run for Civil providers.

The course will cover the types of management information the LAA hold about your firm; how this is interpreted and risk-assessed by Contract Managers, and then used as a basis for deciding how and what to audit.

The course will also provide practical advice on common errors made by providers and how to avoid them, together with updates on any recent changes. This includes the new initiative which may see your firm charged for additional audit activity resulting from any errors that you may have made.

Course Content:

  • LAA Approach to auditing
  • Use of management information in risk assessment
  • Types of Audits and when they might be called
  • Common errors and how to avoid them
  • What happens when you make an error?
  • When might you be charged for further auditing
