Join us for a guide to Scotch whisky. Learn about how it is made, a bit of history, taste different styles & why it's so popular. This tasting is perfect for whisky beginners and keen enthiasts that want to know more.
Hosted by Karen Taylor and Matt Chambers, the founders of the North London Whisky Club and popular Whisky For Everyone website.
We will be sampling the diverse world of Scotch whisky and take you through five whiskies that demonstrate many of the key factors that makes Scotch whisky so popular. Learn a bit of the history and information about each brand or distillery that you are tasting from your experienced hosts.

The tasting will take place at the Dame Alice Owen pub between Angel and Farringdon. This is on St. John's Street EC1V and is about 10 minutes walk from Angel underground station (Northern Line / Bank branch) and 12-15 mins from Farringdon underground station (Thameslink rail and Circle/Metropolitan line). Several local buses also stop nearby.
The tasting will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest.
All guests are asked to Drink Responsibly.
Strictly over 18s only. Please bring ID if you are lucky enough to look close to that age.
