A day to hear about God's vision for Heart Preschool and how His love impacts children, families and communities. Lots of takeaway ideas

About this event

This is a day's training with a tour of Heart Preschool to see their recently developed Forest School practice, to hear the vision and process of setting up a Christian Preschool including their recent Ofsted experience. There will be seminars on developing a Loving Pedagogy and bringing love to the Local Community.

Setting up a preschool from scratch is a challenge and takes dedication, commitment and vision. Hear how Heart started, its developing journey, outdoor improvements and the recent Ofsted inspection. Lots of practical ideas if you want to start your own setting. And lots of inspiration for all settings, old and new.

Since the pandemic, the concept of Loving Pedagogy has been widely discussed. How do we support very young children who have experienced loss, trauma and lack of social experiences over the last two years? "Covid babies" really do need a loving and caring Early Years environment, with nurturing staff teams. The seminar will offer theory and practical suggestions to help infants flourish.

As a Christian setting, Heart has a vision to serve and support the local community. Whether you are in an Early Years setting, a church toddler group or running outreach services, the hints and tips on loving your community will inspire you further.

Featuring sessions with Angela Msumba, owner and founder of Heart.

Dr Margaret Simms, Early Years lecturer, educationist and writer.
