Event description

Description

An opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the diverse, vibrant community of liveaboard boaters travelling the waterways of the Kennet and Avon and the associated barriers to health, education and welfare which exist.

Julian House are delighted to welcome guest speaker Professor Margaret Greenfields whose 2013: BANES Gypsy, Traveller, Boater Health Needs Assessment is believed to be the UK’s first study on narrowboat dwellers’ health status.

An interactive day of workshops, presentations and case studies to support professionals and non-professionals to co-create solutions which improve outcomes for an under-represented travelling community.
