In 2018, Moccas Church was awarded a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Most of the grant has been used for the restoration of the church's remarkable organ and its beautiful painted case, shown below. Another purpose of the project is to interpret the heritage of our wonderful building: there's over 800 years of history within the church's walls, and we want to share it through a programme of community events and activities. Sadly our plans have been slightly scuppered due to Covid-19, but we hope to pick them up again when we can.

In the meantime, we've filmed a few talks which we hope you will enjoy at home. The first is David Whitehead's talk about the history of the church, and it's 19th century restoration by Sir George Gilbert Scott Junior.
