A History of the RHS & Chelsea Flower Show Highlights by Douglas Fraser

🌱 Starting from scratch in 1980, Douglas built his Garden Centre in Dundonald into one of Ayrshire’s "go-to" destinations, famous not just for plants, but for its dazzling water features and friendly expertise.

After retiring in 2017, he hasn’t slowed down! Douglas now shares his passion with groups like BACHS, bringing decades of knowledge and a love of gardening to new audiences.

🌸 Tonight he’ll take us on a journey through the history of the RHS, before whisking us to Chelsea for a fascinating tour of the world’s most celebrated flower show.

This event is free to attend thanks to the support of our members. The event will conclude with an always entertaining raffle.
