Event description

Description

Launching the ground-breaking anthology ‘A House With No Doors’, some of Georgia’s finest contemporary poets are celebrated with readings by translators Victoria Field and Natalia Bukia-Peters.

Bristol’s Borjghali Choir, directed by Anthony Johnston, sings heart-stirring songs that give voice to the loves, passions, losses and vitality of ordinary people. Songs with ancient roots resonate with the contemporary poems.

Georgia, on the south side of the Caucasus mountains next to the Black Sea, has a rich culture of poetry and song. Bristol is twinned with its capital, Tbilisi.
