Our 2025 webinar series on Religious, non-religious and cultural perspectives on end-of-life and funeral care continues as we consider the Jewish perspective of end-of-life and funeral care.
This series will provide care homes, community groups, palliative care nurses, and other professionals with a deeper understanding of the diverse spiritual and religious views around death, dying, and funeral practices - and what this means for their practice, and for the people they support.
The session would involve a short presentation (around 40 minutes) from our guest speaker who will share her personal and professional knowledge and experience in supporting people from the Jewish communities with end-of-life care and funeral rituals and funeral planning, followed by a Q&A session.
The webinar is hosted by Sarah Jones, founder of Full Circle Funerals and our guest speaker is Ilana Greenblatt, Jewish Culture and Faith Manager at Jewish Care.
Ilana lead the integration of Jewish culture, faith, and tradition across all aspects of her organisation, providing guidance, staff training, and culturally sensitive end-of-life and after-death care in line with Jewish law—including burial and cremation practices.
Jewish Care, the leading health and social care charity for the Jewish community in London and the South East, supports over 12,000 people each week. Ilana works to create an inclusive environment where residents and staff feel respected, valued, and understood across the broad spectrum of Jewish identity and practice.
