A Lady's Garden of Delights: Music for Recorders and Harpsichord
Thu 27 July 2017, 13:05 – 13:55 BST
Thomas Allery, harpsichord
Isobel Clarke & Mary-Jannet Leith, recorders
If you missed Sunday evening’s musical extravaganza from the Pleasure Gardens of Old Marylebone, join St Marylebone’s Assistant Director of Music Thomas Allery, and recorder players Isobel Clarke and Mary Jannet-Leith in a smaller-scale, yet equally charming programme of baroque chamber music. They reflect the Marylebone in the 17th and 18th centuries, which was just as international as it is today, with music by a truly diverse array of composers including Marco Uccellini, Daniel Purcell, Tarquinio Merula, G. P. Telemann, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, Giovanni Battista Sammartini, James Oswald.
