About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

We are taking a late Autumn visit to RSPB Rye Meads in the hope of some good waterfowl and Egrets with Good numbers of Shovelers, Teal and Gadwall having been seen at this time of year in recent times.

We might also get some Winter Thrushes and some Finches and bunting if the weather is still mild

It is also one of the best places in Hertfordshire to see Kingfishers during the breeding season. The RSPB St Albans group donated to the new Kingfisher Hide at the reserve, and we hope to visit it and watch kingfishers.

All welcome. Bring suitable clothing and footwear for the weather, especially if it has been raining in previous days.

We might take photos of the event to publicise future events. If you do not wish to appear in them, please let the leader know.
