The Embassy of Chile in the United Kingdom and the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) invite you to a special evening dedicated to raising awareness about one of Chile’s most unique and endangered species: Darwin’s frog (Rhinoderma darwinii).

📅 Date: Tuesday 12th August🕕 Time:6.00pm - 8.00pm📍 Location: Embassy of Chile, London🎥 Film Screening + Panel Discussion

This event will highlight the groundbreaking work being carried out by ZSL, in collaboration with the Government of Chile and Parque Tantauco, to rescue and protect Darwin’s frog—an iconic species threatened by the spread of a deadly fungal disease.

We will screen ZSL’s short documentary, capturing the urgency of this conservation mission, followed by a panel discussion featuring:

  • Dr. Andrés Valenzuela-Sánchez, Chilean wildlife scientist and Darwin’s frog expert
  • Dr. Ben Tapley, ZSL Curator of Herpetology and project lead in the UK

Join us to learn how science, collaboration, and international action are giving hope to this remarkable amphibian, and discover what’s next in the fight to save Darwin’s frog from extinction.
