A Christian social & political thought (CSPT) lecture on migration and theology:

“I was a stranger and you welcomed me?” Migration, politics and faith in the UK today.


Speaker: Canon Steven Saxby - Executive Officer, London Churches Social Action.

Steven Saxby is Executive Officer of London Churches Social Action, the Vicar of a multi-cultural church in East London, and Labour's Parliamentary Candidate for the Cities of London and Westminster.

He brings a strong sense of compassion and justice to his work in the church and wider society and has a strong record of working with and supporting migrant communities.

He led London Churches' Common Voice process on Migration, has served as a key leader with Citizens UK on its migrants work, and has particularly strong connections with advocacy for migrants from the Philippines where he is a canon of the Filipino Independent Church.
