Julian Worricker is celebrating 40 years in broadcasting - man and boy, as they say. Starting as a staff reporter on BBC Radio Leicester in 1985, he became the News Editor there in 1989 after a brief stint in TV presenting Midlands Today.

He then joined Radio Five in Manchester, presenting the evening magazine programme Five Aside, and joined 5Live at its launch in 1994, initially as a newsreader and reporter, then as a presenter on Weekend Breakfast and 5Live Breakfast, alongside Victoria Derbyshire.

It was at 5Live that he worked with Shelagh Fogarty - lots of memories and lots of stories, which they will be sharing at The Chiswick Calendar's Media Club in the Boston Room of George IV on Wednesday 29 October.

Julian has gone on to work for BBC Radio 4 and the News Channel. He is currently one of BBC World Service's main presenters, while Shelagh went on to work with Andrew Neil on The Daily Politics and is currently one of LBC's main presenters.

What the pair of them don't know about radio and presenting live news isn't really worth knowing. Come and help Julian celebrate 40 years in broadcasting.

Wednesday 29 October at 7.30pm in the Boston Room of George IV pub in Chiswick.
