The hidden meaning of flowers in both sacred and secular music.
We'll move from Hildegard of Bingen's devotion to the earth and it's healing, to Landini, Machaut and their medieval take on the joys of spring.
Later, we'll explore the beautiful Ego flos campi by Clemens non Papa and Purcell's joyous setting of My Beloved Spake from the Song of Solomon.

Deborah Catterrall is a trained specialist early music performer and singer, singing instructor and choral conductor.
