A Matter of Impression
Sardoville: Azzurra Ardovini, Phil Sanger & Josh Wille
People are the ultimate spectacle! Get ready for an explosive experience you won’t want to miss. Sardoville is here with their fiercely charged double bill A Matter of Impression, bringing audiences up close and personal with their unique performance style: highly physical, intellectually endearing and emotionally charged. The repertoire-esque programme intertwines two choreographic works for a single sitting; internationally acclaimed choreographer Luca Silvestrini serves up his trademark exposé style in a brand new work accompanying a reworking of Sardoville’s 2014 piece The Dancing Plague. A thrilling combination of mundanity, virtuosity and satire. Bon Appetit!
Sardoville consists of Phil Sanger, Azzurra Ardovini and Josh Wille. Independently they’ve worked with many choreogrpahers and they met during their time at Phoenix Dance Theatre. A Sardoville prodcution seems like a double bill but as each interval is replaced by a choreographed change over, the evening becomes a single work, half created in house and half by a guest choreographer.
