A Message to Home
Overview
Date and Time: Friday 19th December 11:00 - 18:00
Location: KIN 227 (formerly River Room)
A message to home is an inclusive space for reflection, belonging, and creativity. This exhibition invites you to consider the question: What does home mean to you?
Inspired by the idea that “meanings of home are not universal nor are they static” (Meers, 2023, as cited in Anderst et al., 2024), the project recognises that home is not a single place or definition—it’s fluid, sensory, and deeply personal.
Bringing together artists and participants from diverse backgrounds, a message to home showcases works that explore belonging, identity, and memory through various forms of art. Each piece offers a unique interpretation of what it means to find, lose, or create home.
Join us to experience an evening of creativity, community, and conversation as we reflect on the many meanings of home.
