Half-Day Workshop with GP Wendy Molefi-Youri & Stacey Landau

“A Mindful Approach to Optimal Digestive Health”

“Giving You Tools for life-long self-care”

This half-day, hands-on, interactive workshop is intended for women who are interested in learning more about how to achieve optimal digestive health and well-being through nutrition, yoga and mindfulness.

Run by experts Dr Wendy Molefi-Youri (a Private GP at Vital Wellness Clinic & Mindfulness teacher) and Stacey Landau (a Yoga Teacher/Therapist & Theta Healing Practitioner), the aim is to provide you with a range of self-care tools for daily life.

Did you know?

Our gut forms an integral part of our general wellbeing! And that typical symptoms of poor digestive health include: change in bowel habits, cramps, heartburn, weight problems and bloating. However, many symptoms are insidious and non-specific; such as tiredness, sleep disturbance, frequent colds, skin problems and mood swings.

Do you recognise these symptoms? Are you one of the many who suffer in silence? Then you are probably not alone.

‘Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food’

Hippocrates

Our modern lifestyle of processed convenience foods and the general busyness and stresses of daily life will inevitably have an impact on us, often leading to poor digestive health, a compromised immune system and ill-health. Hence, a healthy diet and a ‘mindful attitude in our eating habits are key to good digestive health. And by being more aware of how specific foods affect our bodies, we can make better choices about what we eat.

“I have a gut feeling”

Moreover, we cannot ignore the significant link between our emotions and our gut health. Problems with weight and appetite are often connected to our levels of contentment, anxiety and even depression.

Hence, disciplines such as yoga, which work on creating harmony and well-being not only in the body, but also in the mind, assist in keeping our digestive health on track. Gentle poses, soothing mantras and deep breathing are truly beneficial for nourishing the gut-brain axis. Indeed, yoga has been proven to reduce stress levels which in turn has a direct impact on our immune system.
