About this event

Join Amanda, cacao facilitator who trained with Mayan Spiritual leaders amd has permission to hold rituals with the elements of the Mayan tradition for a nourishing, insightful, and hands-on experience learning, making and connecting with cacao.

We'll have the upstairs space at Rootstock all to ourselves where Amanda will be sharing science and Mayan traditions to bring to life the benefits and history of this gentle yet powerful plant medicine for your mind, body and soul.

With a choice of recipes you’ll be guided through making your own cacao in a way that honours ancient ways. Carrying our rituals and drinking cacao together in connection and conversation.

You'll leave with a deeper understanding of cacao and the skills to start weaving the support of this beautiful plant medicine into your life for wellbeing and spiritual exploration.

About Cacao

Cacao is chocolate in its natural form. A plant medicine from the Amazon that dates back to the first civilisation of the rainforest, the Olmecs. Since then it’s become know as the ‘food of the Gods’ for its powerful spiritual effects and numerous health benefits as well as being delicious to drink.

Drinking cacao in a way that honours the ancient medicine is a nourishing and soothing experience. Cacao contains neurotransmitters and neuro-modulators chemicals that create the benefits experienced from drinking cacao. Cacao is wonderful support for the mental health, stabilising the mood and supporting the nervous system. It has the most beautiful ability to open your connection to heart, gently encouraging you to receive guidance that you are ready for, and helping you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
