Originally formed for the Dulwich Festival a few years ago, this will be the Meer Cats' 4th appearance here (each in a different venue). With a busy schedule now playing at many of the country’s top jazz festivals and jazz clubs, the 6-piece band combines big-sounding, authentic arrangements with virtuosic jazz solos and swing as it should be swung! With songs and instrumental music from the bands featured at New York’s Cotton Club from the late 20s to early 40s, listen out for Minnie the Moocher, Smokey Joe, the Reefer Man and other somewhat dubious characters!
