In collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council, Kayd is pleased to present an evening of stand-up comedy at this year’s Somali Week Festival 2025, featuring some of the best Somali comedians. This special event will showcase a talented lineup, offering an hour of laughter, storytelling, and cultural humor. This live comedy event will explore themes of family, identity, and everyday life with humor that resonates across generations. Whether you are a long-time fan of stand-up or simply looking for an entertaining night out, this is an opportunity to enjoy a fun and engaging evening with the community.

The lineup features headliners Adan Abdi, Prince Abdi, Mister Naif, Khalid Raheem, and Fathiya Saleh, with Selam Amare  hosting the night.

Adan Abdikadir Abdirahman (Adan Abdi) is an award-winning Kenyan - Somali Stand Up comedian based in Nairobi. Adan has defied a lot of odds to become the first male, Muslim, stand up comedian of Somali descent. His style of comedy entails social commentary, political satire and an inside perspective of how it is to essentially navigate life as a Somali living in Kenya. Adan has seen his work appreciated by big brands both locally and internationally. He has previously worked with Google Africa - where he was dubbed among the 8 fastest rising comedians in Africa, Comedy Central, which is the biggest comedy network in America and the rest of the world. In 2023, Adan won comedian of the year by People’s Choice Awards Kenya.
