Route: Set to be a classic, 'A Pendle Odyssey' is a fully guided uLTRa distance off-road running event. The route consists of an incredible 60km of beautiful, varied, rolling trails that wind a full 360° around the magnificent Pendle Hill, Lancashire. Highlights include truly stunning views of the Ribble Valley and the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Fitness requirement: To book onto a 'Regular' level LTR you must be more than capable of running at a steady pace on tricky terrain for 2 hours or more. If you are interested in this event but have not run with LTR before please contact us for more information regarding the fitness requirement.

Stops: Amongst some shorter ones, a slightly longer stop is factored in at the end of stage 1 for hot/cold drinks, some real food & a comfort break. There is a cut-off time for our check points so it's important the group maintains the steady pace set by the lead guide throughout the day. We cannot guarantee you will be able to complete the entire route if you cannot maintain the pace of the group, the lead guide may be required to arrange a pick-up to return you to the start.

Etiquette: The LTR etiquette is straight forward: everyone is on the same level and must be treated with the same amount of respect. We operate in a non-competitive environment.

Risk: Each LTR has an element of 'risk'. The very nature of trail running means varied and tricky terrain has to be negotiated. There is a responsibility on each runner to be vigilant and aware of their envirnonment at all times. The LTR guides will give a safety briefing at the start and throughout the run at appropriate times. You have the right to request advice from the LTR guide at anytime. If you choose not to take advice, or to disregard any advice so given, you do so voluntarily and accept liability.

Footwear & Clothing: Trail running shoes are highly advised as nearly all of the route is off-road. No specialist clothing is required however we do require all runners to dress appropriately to the weather conditions of the day. We recommend a towel and a change of shoes/clothes for after the run.

Hydration & Fuelling: Runners will need to carry their own hydration packs & some food but we will provide some extra drinks and food at three checkpoints around the route.

Social Media: LTR guides take photos and videos which appear on our social media and the LTR website.

Meeting point: The White Bear, Park Hill Colne Road, Barrowford, BB9 6EP. Map
