A Place to Learn, A Place to Belong: Adult Learning for a Changing NI
Overview
FALNI was established in 2010 to promote greater solidarity amongst adult learning providers and to create a united voice to advocate for the needs of the sector and adult learners. This event will look back on its founding, how the adult learning landscape has changed (or not) and what it has achieved over the past 15 years.
FALNI has always striven to be responsive to emerging challenges in the sector and to facilitate discussions which are solution-focused . To that end, acknowledging the changes in learner demographics that have occurred over the past 15 years, our core focus will be on how adult learning providers are addressing the needs of NI's ethnically diverse communities and what needs to change to improve provision and aid integration. As always we are keen to see how collaborative responses can be built across sectors and ensure that the voice of learners is included.
There will be a Learner Panel of diverse learners sharing their experiences of access learning.
