Event description

Description

Sunday 8th September 10.15 am at Nuneaton Library

Steve Moore, author of the book 'The Undoing of Polly Button', will lead a guided walk around the locations of relevance in the story of the tragic life and bloody murder of Mary Green (aka Polly Button) by John Danks in Nuneaton in 1832.

Starting with a short introductory overview of the story at Nuneaton Library at 10.15 am, Steve will then take participants through the town centre and along one of the most ancient pathways in Nuneaton to the locations where Polly Button once lived and where she was murdered. Details and descriptions of events will be given throughout the walk.

The walk takes 1.5-2 hours over a distance of about 2 miles.

Signed copies of the book will be available to purchase at the event, with all author profits being donated to three local charities and good causes.
