This CPD session offers a practical guide to electrocardiography (ECGs) in veterinary patients, covering how to obtain accurate recordings, recognise common arrhythmias, and interpret ECG findings in both emergency and non-emergency cases. Suitable for all veterinary professionals, the session aims to build confidence in using ECGs as a diagnostic tool in everyday practice.


About the Speaker:

Dr Antonio Moneva-Jordan DVM, CertVC, MRCVS Referral Clinician in Cardiology


Antonio Moneva-Jordan graduated from Zaragoza University in Spain, completing part of his training at Glasgow Veterinary School through an Erasmus scholarship. After five years working in a Small Animal Hospital in Newcastle, where he earned the Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology with the best marks award, he went on to complete a cardiopulmonary medicine residency at the University of Edinburgh, later becoming a Clinical Demonstrator and Lecturer in Cardiology.

Antonio has worked in referral cardiology at Calder Vets, Moorview Referrals, and Paragon Referrals, and is recognised by the RCVS as an Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Cardiology. A frequent CPD speaker for organisations like Improve International and CEVA, Antonio has delivered numerous lectures, webinars, and roadshows. He is a published author in clinical cardiology and a panel member for the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society’s Heart Score Auscultation scheme.
