Find out why commissioning and delivering a psychologically informed environment has social and economic value and impact.

This course will help delegates understand why commissioning and delivering a psychologically informed environment has social and economic value and impact. It will ask you to identify key elements you currently implement, how to build on these, as well as how to apply the approach without, or at minimum cost.

Who is this course for?

Health and Social Care Commissioners who wish to implement an innovative approach to supporting people who are experiencing homelessness and complex trauma
Managers from homeless accommodation based, outreach and day centre services
Senior staff from other sectors who have contact with people experiencing complex trauma

What will you learn?

On completion of this course you will:

  • Understand the key elements of a PIE and their objectives
  • Know how to create a PIE service or organisation
  • Know how to use the PIE toolkit
  • Delegates will be provided with a copy of the presentation and PIE Toolkit

Using your knowledge of complex trauma, this one day course will help you to develop the skills needed to support trauma survivors and to consider practical ways in which you can 'trauma-inform' your practice/service.   Using your knowledge of complex trauma, this one day course will help you to develop the skills needed to support trauma survivors and to consider practical ways in which you can 'trauma-inform' your practice/service.   - See more at: http://www.homeless.org.uk/products/training/theme-2-complex-needs-difficult-situations/practical-implementation-of-trauma#sthash.0jH0XQgc.dpuf
