Event description
Explore the key elements of sociocracy in a three-session online introductory course, Tuesday evenings from 4th to 18th May

About this event

Who

This short course is aimed at co-op members with an interest in learning about sociocracy and its approach to sharing power and making effective decisions within organisations of all sizes. It is suitable whether you are completely new to the subject or have some previous experience.

What

We will explore the key elements of sociocracy in three participatory workshops designed to deliver as much practical experience as possible. Each session will include an introduction, an opportunity to practise in a friendly group setting, and time to reflect on our shared learning experiences.

About the trainer

Abbie Kempson is a Certified Sociocracy Trainer. She is a member of Unicorn Grocery, a 70-member worker co-op in Manchester, associate of Cooperantics and Leader of Sociocracy for All’s Co-op Circle. Her training will draw on her experience of implementing sociocracy at Unicorn Grocery over the past three years, as well as her extensive learning within SoFA’s leadership and academy programmes.

Cost

We believe in making training courses affordable for everyone. Our fees work on a sliding scale, asking those who can afford to pay to enable us to offer subsidised places to low-waged participants. Please contact Abbie if you would like to discuss affordability and negotiate a cost that is affordable for you.
