A practical Taoist approach to sexual health and vitality
Thu 13 October 2016, 19:00 – 21:30 BST
An evening of softness, gentleness power
A mini workshop with Barry Spendlove a Senior Instructor of Mantak Chia's Universal Healing Tao.
The water element - ruled by our kidneys, supported by our bladder, governs our sexual organs and essence, vitality, bones and blood.
Our water element is easily depleted and for most of us is our weakest element.
The evening will include some simple exercises that will bring awareness, health and vitality into the kidneys and our water system.
Most women have a good awareness of their vagina and breasts, but very few have an awareness of their uterus and ovaries. Men have a good connection with their penis and testicles, but not much awareness of their prostate.
The uterus is the sexual centre for women as the prostate is the sexual centre for men. These centres are hidden deep in the body and it is important to become fully conscious in these areas to avoid the problems that tend to develop there, as we get older.
We will practice simple but effective techniques to bring awareness, focus, breath, qi, health and vitality to these sacred centres of our being.
This short, fun but intense evening will give us much to share.
These are simple practices that we should have learned at puberty.
An evening of embodied internal practice, with the emphasis in using the skills to improve the quality of our everyday lives.
