Robert Harrap (http://www.sgi-uk.org/sgi-uk-general-director-%E2%80%93-robert-harrap) has been the General Director of SGI-UK since December 2013. Before that he spent 16 years as a barrister in chambers in London's Inner Temple.
Robert appears regularly on BBC Radio 2’s Pause for thought.
SGI believe all people have the right to live in happiness. The prime objective of the Soka Gakkai International (SGI) movement is to forge an expanding solidarity of ordinary citizens committed to protecting that right and, in this way, to rid the world of needless suffering.

Daisaku Ikeda (http://www.daisakuikeda.org/) is a peace builder, a prolific writer, poet, educator and founder of a number of cultural, educational and peace research institutions around the world. This proposal is submitted to the United Nations. President Ikeda has submitted a peace proposal to the UN every year since 1983 and received over 300 honorary doctorates and many international honours and awards in recognition of his tireless work for peace.
