About the conference

The Global Sustainability Standards Conference (formerly the ISEAL Annual Conference) is the major global event for sustainability standards and certification. It brings together over 250 leaders from business, government and civil society committed to seeing standards scale up their positive impacts around the world.

This year our theme will be trust, which goes hand-in-hand with what it means to be a credible sustainability standard. Trust that standards are working for people and the planet is essential to the collective drive to improve impacts.

ISEAL Alliance

ISEAL is the global association for sustainability standards, whose mission is to strengthen sustainability standards systems for the benefit of people and the environment. Our members include some of the world's most established and influential sustainability standards including Fairtrade International, Forest Stewardship Council, Rainforest Alliance and Marine Stewardship Council and many others. We are the backbone of the standards and certification movement, bringing together organisations working at the forefront of global supply chains to make production more sustainable through certitification and labelling. We define credible practices for standards systems that lead to greater social and environmental impact.  At the heart of our work is a set of ten Credibility Principles that underpin everything we do.
