Almost 3 years ago, DRG4FOOD and FOODITY started their research on how to create and foster a European ecosystem of digital solutions for food and nutrition that put the citizens’ data right at the centre. After this long research journey, DRG4FOOD and FOODITY are approaching their conclusion with this final, culminating event.
The DRG4FOOD and FOODITY is a 2-day event, involving, SMEs, investors, policy-makers and academia members that will engage with the public through presentations, pitch sessions, panel discussions and networking activities,. Attendees can witness the presentation of the groundbreaking solutions in the food digital domain that have been funded through the open-call programmes implemented by both projects. They will also be able to, engage with European experts during interactive panel discussions, which will foster collaboration and facilitate open dialogue, as well as networking sessions.
About the Projects
DRG4FOOD
The EU-funded DRG4FOOD project aims to create a data-driven food system that inspires trust throughout the food chain and to set new standards by taking orientation in the European Digital Rights and Principles and the Digital Responsibility Goals.
In the past three years, DRG4FOOD tested use cases through the launch of 2 open calls for a total of 1.9 million in funding in the areas of targeted nutrition, food traceability and consumers’ food choices. The funding has been directed to research groups, start-ups, SMEs, and innovators interested in implementing dedicated tools and applications that address the Digital Responsibility Goals.

The project works closely with its sister project FOODITY. FOODITY run a 2M€ Pilot Development Programme funding 12 multidisciplinary teams in the creation of groundbreaking data-driven solutions for food and nutrition respectful of the users’ personal data sovereignty.
