Description

A Rendezvous With... Evan Davis and A Gay & A Nongay

Join us for the first 'A Rendezvous With' live event as part of the Digital Pride festival by Gay Star News, in collaboration with Rendezvous Events Ltd.

Join an audience with Evan Davis, James Barr, Dan Hudson and special guests, as we record these live podcasts:

* #QueerAF - The National Student Pride podcast, who'll be interviewing BBC Dragons Den and Newsnight presenter Evan Davis
* A Gay and A Nongay - With two unlikely friends, James Barr and Dan Hudson, who take on the world. They'll be joined by special guests from UK Black Pride

We'll be raising money for the Albert Kennedy Trust on the evening. The charity funds extremely important work with LGBT+ youth homelessness.

Tickets are free, either email jamiew@gaystarnews.com to join the guest list, or register with our Eventbrite.

However, if you are able to donate we've set up suggested donation prices for tickets. You can make these donations through our Eventbrite.

The event will be live-streamed as a part of the Gay Star News Digital Pride 2018 festival, 23rd-28th April.

About The Albert Kennedy Trust

AKT is the national LGBT youth homelessness charity, and provides safe homes, mentoring, training, advocacy and support to young people who are homeless or living in a hostile environment. Many of these young people have faced abuse and rejection just for being brave enough to come out to their family and loved ones.

Homelessness remains a significant issue in the UK, with 24% of homeless youth identifying as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Trans. Last year AKT’s supporters enabled them to provide a total of 6075 nights of safe and supportive accommodation across London, Manchester and Newcastle.

AKT believes that no young person should have to choose between a safe home and being who they are. Money raised from this event will help them reach more young people who need them. Thank you.
