Come join us for a fun-filled day at Chapel Gate! We're hosting a special event in honor of Big Kev, a beloved member of our family and friend to so many. Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, this event is perfect for everyone. Get ready to enjoy a scenic ride, relax at our summer fete and show your support for Big Kev.

Join The Ride

With ride options for every level, participants can complete the 25 mile route around the New Forest once, twice or – for the super keen – 3 times.

Relax with Friends

Alternatively, we’d love you to bring your friends and family and enjoy our summer fete with a host of activities for the whole family.

This great afternoon of entertainment will include:

  • A wonderful BBQ provided by our friends at Kingsgate Kitchen
  • Live music from the main stage (more information to follow)
  • Gymnastics Performances by Avonbourne Gym Club
  • Home-Cooked Bake Sale of Goodies
  • Face Painting for all the family
  • & much much more...

Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to come together and celebrate our shared love for Big Kev by enjoying everything that he loved; family, friends, BBQs, beers and bike rides!

Frequently asked questions

Is there an entry fee for the summer fete?

No but we will be asking for cash donations on entry. If you can spare a few pounds then they would be gratefully received. All funds raised will go to the British Heart Foundation.

I'd like to bring my family along, is that ok?

Absolutely - bring as many friends and family as you would like to. This is a big celebration of Big Kev and we'd love to see you there!

Do I have to be an experienced cyclist to take part?

A basic level of road knowledge and fitness would be useful. You will be cycling on open roads so it is important that you feel safe in that environment. Our 25 mile route is best for entry level cyclists.

Where does the route go?

The final route will be shared closer to the event but it takes you past Bournemouth Airport, out into the New Forest and back through Verwood and Parley.

What terrain is the ride on?

This is a road ride taking place on open public highways. All participants should follow the rules of the road and Highway Code.

Can I help out on the day?

Yes please! We're looking for people to help with the bake sale, provide activities or support the riders. If you would like to help please drop us an email on rideforbigkev@project-30.co.uk
