A Salute to the Women of the Windrush and Their Legacy – Maureen Dickson

Maureen Dickson, will lead a lecture on the women of the Windrush generation, who arrived in Britain from the Caribbean after World War II and who went on to play a vital role in rebuilding the country and making it a more diverse place. Even though they faced significant challenges, including racism and discrimination, they persevered and helped to build new communities and achieve great success in various fields.

This event is free and open to all. Donations of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items gratefully received for the University Student Community Larder.
