A Seaside Folly Guided Walk
Wed 5 April 2017, 11:00 – 12:30 BST
Part of the North York Moors National Park’s Guided Walks Programme. Over 100 years ago there were great plans to make Ravenscar a serious rival to Scarborough, the ‘Queen of the Yorkshire Coast’.
On this 1.25-mile walk, Peter Turton explores the scant, ghostly reminders of this project and tries to discover why it ended in failure.
Accessible by wheelchair. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Our guided walks are free, although a suggested donation of £2 is welcome, helping us to care for the National Park.
Booking essential. For more information call 01439 772738.
