A Seat At The Table is a culinary experience presented by N.A.W. exploring how food marks cultural identity in the city.
About this event
You are invited to join the third cohort of N.A.W. for a culinary experience, exploring how food marks cultural identity in the city. Over a series of curated dishes, our invited speakers will discuss how their work intersects with the themes of displacement, migration and the potential future of our urban spaces. We will create a space of expansiveness, generosity and warmth, in which food is the medium for conversations to develop. This event will celebrate the unique spatial condition of areas in our cities such as Brick Lane, as well as demonstrate how gentrification is having an impact on the make-up of existing communities.
By sharing a meal together, we hope to create an intimate space for these stories to arise.
Confirmed speakers:
- Melissa Haniff, Resolve Collective
- Rachel Dring, Crop Drop & Wolves Lane
- Jonathan Nunn, Eater London & Vittles
