A short walking tour about Manchester's LGBT Centre: we were born in the 80...
Sun 27 November 2016, 14:00 – 15:30 GMT
This 1 hour walking tour will tell the story of how Manchester became the first place to build an entirely publicly funded, purpose designed centre for the gay community, just as Thatcher’s government were enacting Section 28.
As The Manchester Christmas Markets will be in full swing, please meet at Manchester Town Hall side entrance, on Lloyd Street. I will be waving a small rainbow flag! Please note it will end at the LGBT Centre on Sidney Street, just off Oxford Road.
All attendees will receive a free zine!
