Description

By disrupting global norms, Covid-19 offers us a rare opportunity to press reset and design a new vision of our future. How can we make the most of this crisis – individually and collectively? And what approach to co-creating a new future will position us to be… a step ahead?

In this session we will:

  • Discuss the unique nature of the opportunities that Covid-19 presents with a diverse selection of commentators, and clarify the associated tightrope.

  • Present the CSL House View on what steps you can take right now to start co-creating a new future for yourself, your organisation and society.

  • Provide a summary of top tips that you can experiment with going forward.

This is a follow up to our earlier session on this theme. It is a great opportunity to plug into the content for those who missed it the first time round. We will be getting more practical with the takeaways this time, and also hearing more from our distinguished set of commentators.

All commentators are current members of the CSL Community.

We hope you are able to join us.

This session is part of
A Step Ahead - CSL's new, virtual series. The objective of this series is to curate monthly content to help organisational leaders anticipate and respond to the future.

The content is based on CSL thought leadership, the latest trends and research and a unique process CSL has developed for "sensing the system". This involves holding a series of sessions and interviews with diverse audiences on the same topic to clarify the underlying systemic challenge and explore which insights / best practices are most relevant right now.

The A Step Ahead process includes:
  • Two interviews with senior executives on the forefront of change (featured in the session)
  • Two sessions with members of our diverse leadership community, the Tightrope Walkers
  • One session with our CSL Fellows, who lead organisations that serve society
  • One session with our CSL Mentees, who are in university / at the start of their career
Each seminar will consist of the following components:
  1. An upfront discussion of the relevance of the theme, led by a diverse selection of commentators (a mixture of Tightrope Walkers, one Fellow and one Mentee). CSL Presentation of key theme components, including the underlying tension (the tightrope) that the theme presents
  2. Curated interviews with speakers to bring the theme to life, including a mixture of inspiring stories and best practices
  3. CSL House View on key takeaways in relation to the theme that will enable leaders to be A Step Ahead
  4. Feedback from commentators and / or participants as a whole
The themes for these sessions have been chosen based on two focus groups and a survey with our members.
