Fri 5 May 2017, 14:00 – 16:00 BST
A leisurely walk along the banks of the Severn to experience this beautiful, open landscape. The train journey from Bristol is spectacular – it has been rated one of Europe’s most scenic railway journeys by Thomas Cook!
If travelling from Bristol you can catch the 13:16 train from Bristol Temple Meads, it calls at several stations on the way including Stapleton Road, Cliffton Down and Shirehampton. We will ensure we are back in time for the 15:54 train which gets into Temple Meads at 16:31. The train is £3 return from Temple Meads.
The walk is free! Booking is essential.
This walk is being run as part of Bristol Walking Festival by A Forgotten Landscape. A Forgotten Landscape is an exciting multi-stranded project to encourage people to conserve, restore and explore the Lower Severn Vale Levels.
