About this event

Join Gill Hopkins to walk through the plains and woods of Gilbert’s Slade, then visit the Gypsy Smith Stone via the underpasses and bridge at Waterworks Corner. Return via Canada Plain to St Peter in the Forest Churchyard and Cafe and onto the site of the former Whipps Cross Lido.

Despite proximity to major roads this route can be muddy (even in summer) and there are two steep descents. Please wear suitable footwear.

Meet: Forest car park on the south side of Snaresbrook Road. This is a 10 minutes walk from Snaresbrook Station (Central Line)
