This evidence based course/webinar will provide an in-depth view, from a biomechanical perspective of the equine back and how to prevent, manage and rehabilitate horses with back issues.
This webinar will cover the following areas:
- Structure, function and biomechanics of the horse’s back
- How the back and the limbs are connected and coordinated during locomotion to fulfil the needs for movement and stability
- How the rider’s affects equine back mechanics
- Common spinal pathologies – causes, clinical signs and preventive measures
- Exercise programs for horses of all ages to improve athletic performance and guard against the development of common injuries
