Event description

Description

Abstract:

This lecture mainly discusses the relationship between the review texts written during the period from 1949 to 1955 and the construction of contemporary literary norms. By analyzing the cause of review, people who review and the ways to review, this lecture aims to show how the socialist ideology during the transitional era integrates and standardizes literary thoughts. On the one hand, the review text is an effective mode of operation to ideologically transform the intellectuals in the literary field. On the other hand, the review text as an important approach transformed and standardized the literature in early times when China was newly founded. The reviews provide a clue to outline the fierce ideological struggle of intellectuals and the formation of new literary norms and discourse forms in the early days of New China. The reviews not only guarantees the establishment and implementation of literary norms but also constitutes an important part of the "integrated" literary structure.
