· The Oxford Rep Company presents 'A Table of Green Fields', after Shakespeare's Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, at St Mary's Church, Shrewsbury.

England stands on the brink of war. As friends and lovers are forced to part, so ordinary men are forced to lay down their lives. Whispers are heard across the country - over tables rustling with maps, echoing through throne rooms, over generously filled tankards in fire-lit corners of taverns. The old way is passing on, much hangs in the balance - a Prince is to become King.

· ‘We few, we happy few, we band of brothers'.

· Set in a reimagined pre-First World War, this medieval story of war and revelry, friendship and love, loyalty and duty, childhood and adulthood, is to be seen in another age of great upheaval.

· With some of Shakespeare's funniest moments, beautiful design and costumes, talented actors and an incredible historic setting, this production has something for everyone.

· ~ The Oxford Rep Company is a touring theatre company that performs classics around the UK. Previous productions include 'Hamlet' (2023), 'Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense' (2024) at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 'Macbeth' (2025) at Dinefwr Castle in Wales and Wrest Park in Bedfordshire, and 'The Importance of Being Earnest' (2025) at Osterley Park and Reveley Lodge in London.
