About this event

European Protected Species Event

Come join us at St. Michael's Church, Flax Bourton, for a fascinating talk by local ecologist Cathy Mayne.

In North Somerset, we are lucky enough to have good populations of some of the most charismatic European Protected Species – the dormouse, the great crested newt and horseshoe bats. However, even here, they are in decline and we need to raise awareness of these vitally important species so that we can halt that decline – and hopefully provide a good enough habitat for them to thrive into the future.

Come along and find out how!
