A Taste of Louis Roederer at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire

On 22 October Condé Nast Traveller will host A Taste of Louis Roederer. The Champagne house, founded in 1776 in Reims, France, is famed for its Cristal Champagne, the prestige cuvée first produced for Tsar Alexander II of Russia, in 1876. Louis Roederer is one of the last family-owned Champagne houses and is renowned for its consistent quality and craftsmanship. It is also a pioneer in sustainable farming and, despite being one of the smallest Grandes Marques houses, is the largest cultivator of organic vines in Champagne. This devotion to the richness of the soil results in an extraordinary standard of Champagne, and has led to Louis Roederer being named The World’s Most Admired Champagne Brand for the sixth year in a row.

Guests will be treated to a Champagne-and-canapé reception followed by a multicourse tasting menu inspired by seasonal local produce, paired with some of the finest Louis Roederer Champagnes, at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire. This restored 18th-century manor, less than an hour from London, lies within a storied estate where Henry VIII first met Catherine of Aragon. Set in 500 acres of tranquil woodland and parkland grazed by deer, Four Seasons fuses centuries‐old history with modern luxury – the perfect venue to appreciate a venerable wine.
