A Timeless Village Guided Walk
Wed 6 December 2017, 11:00 – 12:00 GMT
Part of the North York Moors National Park’s Guided Walks Programme. Only a few miles from busy Helmsley, Pockley appears quiet and remote.
Within the village there are many thatched cottages recalling a bygone era of house construction.
On this 1.25-mile stroll around the village with Peter Turton we try to understand the skill of thatching and also visit the small church.
Accessible by wheelchair. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Our guided walks are free, although a suggested donation of £2 is welcome, helping us to care for the National Park.
Booking essential. For more information call 01439 772738.
