A Toast to Bubbles: Sparkling Wines

Sparkling wine is the ultimate party drink, and it is the sense of playfulness, lightness, and zip that makes it such an essential companion to celebrations.

Apart from the marketing budgets of glitzy Champagne houses, there is a whole world of sparkling wine made in a host of different ways from rich, lees-aged grower Champagne to frivolous, frothy Prosecco, and the darling of the natural wine scene, Pet Nat, to say nothing of the sadly overlooked sparkling reds.

This tasting is all about contrasts, from bone-dry Lambrusco to fresh Blanquette to rich, gastronomic Cava. As Dom Perignon supposedly said, drink the stars!

Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
