Why is there a limit on how many can come?

This is partly because of the venue's capacity and partly to not overcrowd the venue for any non attendees who are just customers coming to check out the bar. Not every social we run will be as limited, but it's a great venue for our first social event!

Question 2

Do I have to leave after the end of the social?

Accepted Answer

Of course not, if you wish to stay till when the bar closes with whoever you are with you are more than welcome. The bar closes at 10pm on this day. Please note, if you have come by car you may need to consider parking as there is a 4 hour parking limit and our event is 3 hours long.

How is parking?

Accepted Answer

Parking is free and spread out across the Waterfront area. There is parking within the area and also at the back there is a big parking area. There is a parking limit of 4 hours across the whole Waterfront area, so if you arrive a bit early we'd recommend parking at Merry Hill till closer to 5pm.

Can I reach the venue by Bus?

Waterfront is just up the hill from the back of the Merry Hill Shopping Centre, where Merry Hill bus station is. This is on the other side which serves destinations from across the West Midlands. The 8 stops closest to Waterfront, you can connect from the Bus Station on the 8 in approx 5 mins.

Can I reach the venue by Train?

Accepted Answer

While the train is possible, it will require the use of buses or an Uber/Taxi to complete your journey. The closest train station is Cradley Heath. From here you can get the X10 or 4M to the Merry Hill Bus Station then the 8 to Waterfront.
