A Tour of the Night Sky

Join Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Scarborough and Ryedale Astronomical Society for an exciting evening learning about the night sky. Use a variety of specialist equipment to uncover planets, stars and more. And, if you download the Unistellar app, you'll be able to take home a photo of what we see on the night using the digital telescopes!

Please note that if the weather isn't suitable then we will conduct a fascinating virtual tour of the night sky in our Discovery Room at the Living Seas Events Centre instead.

A ccessibility

There is wheelchair access to the Living Seas Events Centre and to the outdoor classroom where we'll be using the equipment.

What's at the Living Seas Centre?

The Living Seas Events Centre is our events hub near South Landing, Flamborough. Please note that the cafe will be closed at the time of the event but tea and coffee will be available.

What to bring/wear

We'll hopefully be getting outside to use the telescopes and binoculars to search the night sky so please wrap up warm!

Toilets

There are toilets at the Living Seas Events Centre that will be open for event attendees.
